Construction bak-rak All the bak-rak components are made of bright mild-steel with a durable zinc-plated coating that has been gold passivated. This gives an attractive and durable finish. The construction is incredibly durable and we have yet to see one of our bases bent - with more than 700 sold. The Clam-shell that goes over the tow-ball is investment cast [lost wax] of 316 stainless steel - one of the higher quality stainless steels that can even cope with marine usage. It is electro polished which further enhances its durability. The investment casting process ensures accuracy of tenths of a millimetre. |
