THE BOXES NEW Plastic Box Our new plastic box gives a convenient enclosed load carrier at the sensible price of £79 plus a £10 delivery charge. Sized 118x61x58H and 11Kg, it is tough enough for most jobs including carrying the holiday luggage. Although not fully waterproof, with the lid strapped down it will stand up to most weather conditions and it can be used as a fixed store when not in transit. It has a fitment to take a padlock for security. It comes with a fitting kit to clamp it onto the base or Xtender bars. We recommend the use of Xtender bars as it makes fitting the base much easier to move the box out of the way. We have some simple mounting bars available for £15 - like Xtenders but without the Xtending part - but ideal for mounting and removing the box. Aluminium Box A superb US made heavy duty aluminium box - available in three sizes - the design has recently changed due to circumstances beyond our control. Small box Dims are 920L x 520W x 470H Medium box Dims are 1213L x 520W x 470H Large box dims are 1543L x 520W x 470H . It mounts simply onto the base-rak. If mounted on the Xtender bars it can be fitted with a couple of bike-raks alongside to give you the ultimate flexibility. We have some simple mounting bars available for £15 - like Xtenders but without the Xtending part - but ideal for mounting and removing the box. We supply four mountings to put the box simply on the base- we leave you to drill the mounting holes so you have some flexibility on position. The box is made of 3mm checker plate aluminium, seam welded throughout with the lid on a rubber seal and lifted by special gas struts. The 1200 size has a double catch [914mm has single catch] locked with a key. The lid is stiffened to prevent leverage access - so it is about as secure as it gets. It is also effectively waterproof. We recommend the use of Xtender bars as it makes fitting the base much easier to move the box out of the way. We have some simple mounting bars available for £15 - like Xtenders but without the Xtending part - but ideal for mounting and removing the box. The shape at the top is designed to allow trays to be supported across the top of the main storage area, for small packages, tools, nuts and bolts etc. So it is ideal for the mobile tradesman or convenient travelling or sailing, scuba, gliding etc. Casters can be bolted on the bottom to ease movement. The boxes sell for £299 for the large 1500mm size, £249 for the 1200mm and £229 for the 900 size. They weigh 23kg, 18kg and 14kg respectively. Delivery charge is an extra £10 for all sizes as they are delivered directly from the importer. They can be used by companies and clubs to securely store specific apparatus [sailboat accessories, emergency equipment, holiday gear, decontamination kit etc.] which can be promptly mounted on the back of a car and delivered for use. |
